ART FOR ALL!
Cultural design
The ‘Simply Haring Collection’ aims to democratise the experience of viewing art, allowing widespread access to it while promoting a deeper appreciation for Haring's visionary work.
It is one of the world's largest collections from a single collector that ELV - Culture of Innovation has decided to make available to all, in non-academic settings such as the Marassi Prison or shopping centres in the suburbs of major Italian cities, carrying out a precise social and educational purpose of the artist himself.
Keith Haring, a symbol of American pop art in the 1980s, is celebrated for his remarkable ability to infuse simplicity and intimacy into his art, making his work uniquely recognisable to a heterogeneous audience.
Over the course of his career, Haring's distinctive style and evocative imagery resonated with art enthusiasts and newcomers alike, earning him a place as a truly singular artist in the contemporary art world, thanks in part to his Pop Shops in NY and Tokyo.
He spoke about important themes such as war, nuclera, AIDS, drugs, the relationship between human beings and the environment, between people, between adults and children, and pregnancy, themes that ELV reinterprets in places with ticket-free access, creating fully accessible, engaging and school-friendly exhibitions, also with the valuable support of young local artists who interpret the themes in a contemporary way.
This collection offers a unique opportunity for people from all walks of life to interact and be inspired by its artistic legacy.
